Paddlers
Guided by the motto "Long, Hard, Pull", our paddlers train in dragon boating and kayaking to build resilience, teamwork, and life skills.
Long, Hard, Pull. This motto encapsulates the spirit of our paddlers who pull hard in the water and exhibit a never-say-die attitude. All paddlers are exposed to various rowing activities such as kayaking and dragon boating. Through the weekly dragon boat training sessions at Kallang, the paddlers’ physical prowess and mental endurance are put to the test. The CCA participates in various community races and competitions organised by the Singapore Dragon Boat Association.
To broaden their paddling competencies, members are encouraged to attain the 1-Star and 2-Star Kayaking certifications. These experiences culminate in activities such as the annual kayaking expedition to Pulau Ubin, where paddlers strengthen friendships, develop self-reliance and create lasting memories.
Beyond sporting achievement, paddling nurtures perseverance, adaptability and teamwork—qualities that support students in their academic journey and prepare them to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
