Wushu

Join TM Wushu to build fitness, discipline, and character. The team competes at national level and fosters a strong sense of community among its members.

Wushu is derived from Chinese martial arts and it teaches “Wu De”（武德）, which is the martial arts code of conduct. Wushu improves one’s flexibility, speed, strength, coordination, and endurance. It also instills discipline and respect for oneself and towards others.

In Tampines Meridian Junior College, under the capable guidance of our coach, Guang Yao "Jiao Lian" (教练), Tampines Meridian Wushu Team did well for the 2019 National School Games Wushu Championship. For the individual events, we won a total of 11 Bronze medals, 5 Silver medals, and 1 Gold medal. For the group events, we won 2 Bronze and 2 Silver across different categories. Overall, we achieved 3rd placing for both the Boys and Girls team.
