Parent Engagement Talk 2022 - Supporting Your Child
A forum-style discussion to equip parents with insights and practical tips on how to better support their child through the JC years and beyond.
This year’s forum focuses on exploring new media trends among teenagers and how to navigate cyberspace safely. It also seeks to provide revision strategies based on neuroscience, alongside approaches for better self-management to help students thrive in their learning and development.

Nominations for the Outstanding Economics Teacher Award 2022
The Economic Society of Singapore (ESS) is inviting nominations for the Outstanding Economics Teacher Award (OETA). Up to two OETA Awards will be given to outstanding secondary, or junior College/centralized institute teachers who have exhibited excellence in the teaching and learning of Economics.

Nomination for the Distinguished Chinese Language Teachers Awards 2022
The Distinguished Chinese Language Teachers Awards 2022 is organised by Lianhe Zaobao and ZBSchools.sg.
The awards are co-organised by the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, Society of Chinese Education Singapore, Singapore Chinese Teachers Union and Singapore Middle School with support from the Ministry of Education. The awards aim to give due recognition to teachers who:

inspire interest in the Chinese language and culture,
-
use creative and engaging teaching methods/learning activities,
-
possess a passion for teaching, and
-
command respect from students, parents and fellow teachers.

Nominations of the Arif Budiman Malay Language Teacher Award 2022
Online Nomination closes on 1 April 2022
The Arif Budiman Malay Language Teacher Award (AGAB) 2022 is jointly organised by the Malay Language Council, Singapore (MLCS), Malay Language Teachers’ Association (PGBM), Berita Harian (BH) and the Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC).
The annual award aims to recognise outstanding Malay Language teachers who have made significant contributions to the teaching and learning of Malay Language in our local mainstream schools.
This year, awards will be given out under the following categories:
Motivation (less than 10 years in teaching service); and
Role Model (10 years and above in teaching service).
Nominees will be evaluated based on
- their ability to instill knowledge, skills, and interest in the learning of the Malay language, literature, and culture, as well as their care and concern for the well-being of their students.
Nominees must also demonstrate the values of Arif Budiman, a learned person who contributes to society through excellent and exemplary service as an educator.

Nomination for the Most Inspiring Tamil Teachers’ Award (MITT) 2022 From 7 Feb 2022 to 29 April 2022 Nominations for the Most Inspiring Tamil Teacher Award (MITT) 2022 is now open.
The MITT Award is jointly presented by Tamil Murasu, Tamil Language Learning and Promotion Committee (TLLPC), and the Singapore Tamil Teachers’ Union (STTU).
The award is to recognise teachers who have made significant contributions to the teaching and learning of Tamil (TL).
Nominees should be
- Teachers who nurture students’ interest in TL by using innovative methods to make lessons more interesting and engaging; and
- Dedicated and passionate teachers who demonstrate a keen interest in students’ well-being and inspire students to be self-directed and engaged learners.

Nominations for the annual Inspiring Teacher of English awards 2022
- exemplify the use of good spoken and written English
- promote learning-focused interaction during English lessons
- choose pedagogies appropriate to learners’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles
Nomination Process
Nomination forms can be downloaded from www.goodenglish.org.sg. All students, parents of our students, and teachers are invited to send in their nominations to TMJC tmjc@moe.edu.sg for this national award by 6 pm on 28 March 2022.
Release of 2021 GCE A-Level Examination Results
The results of the 2021 Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examination will be released on Tuesday, 22 February 2022.
TMJC students who sat for the 2021 A-Level Exam may return to the college to collect the results. Report to respective CCE venues by 2.00 pm on 22 February to receive your GCE A-level examination certificates, result slips, SGC, and Year Book.
As part of the Safe Management Measures, we seek your understanding of the following:
- Only students will be allowed to enter the college to collect their results. The college is currently not open to parents and guardians.
- Students who are under COVID restrictions or are unwell should not be in college to collect their results.
- Students should not come before 1.00 pm to avoid possible intermingling with the different levels of students.Students may also view their results online via the SEAB Candidates Portal at https://myexams.seab.gov.sg on 22 February 2022, from 2.45 pm onwards. The system will be available for students to access their results for 2 weeks until 8 March 2022.
Students who are eligible for Singpass are to apply and activate their Singpass account so that they can view their results online.
For International Students, SEAB will send a system-generated username to their email address a few days before the release of the results.
Voyage - Orientation 2022
Hear ye, hear ye! Welcome, young sailors.
We will set sail and begin our Voyage on 7 Feb 2022 (Mon), and we will set out to sea till 11 Feb 2022 (Fri)!
Time of embarkation: 7.30am
Ship docked at: The Plaza @ TMJC
Sailing attire: Secondary School full uniform (shirt and pants/skirt)
Time of disembarkation: 12.30pm
