Join the TMJC Guitar Ensemble, open to all skill levels. Members perform, learn, and grow together in a supportive setting.
Guided by our motto, "One Ensemble, One Sound," the Tampines Meridian Guitar Ensemble is a welcoming community where every member plays an integral role in creating music together. Students of all musical backgrounds are invited to discover the joy of ensemble playing in an inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, personal growth, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Through a bridging programme for beginners, members build strong foundations before progressing confidently in their musical journey.
Under the mentorship of our passionate and experienced guitar instructor and dedicated CCA Teachers-in-Charge, students receive personalised guidance that develops both musical proficiency and character. Through regular rehearsals, ensemble collaboration, and shared musical experiences, members cultivate patience, initiative, resilience, and a sense of responsibility. They also learn to value perseverance, encourage one another, and appreciate how every individual's contribution strengthens the ensemble as a whole.
The Guitar Ensemble actively participates in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation, where it was awarded the Certificate of Distinction in 2025. Members also perform regularly at a variety of college and external events, including TMJC Open House, JC1 Orientation, SONRISA (the College Combined Performing Arts Concert), and community performances. These platforms allow students to share their passion for music, connect with audiences, and proudly represent the College while continuing to grow as confident and expressive musicians.
