Symphonic Band

At Tampines Meridian Symphonic Band, music is a shared journey of growth, excellence, and service. Guided by our passionate and experienced Band Director, dedicated sectional instructors, and CCA Teachers-in-Charge, members receive specialised training through the Trumpet, Brass, Flute, Saxophone, and Percussion sections, before coming together as one ensemble. Many students begin their musical journey with little or no prior experience, and through structured rehearsals, sectional coaching, and consistent practice, they develop into confident and accomplished musicians. Along the way, they cultivate important values such as responsibility, perseverance, commitment, and a strong sense of purpose as they contribute to the success of the band.
The Symphonic Band actively participates in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation and performs regularly at a wide range of college and external events, including National Day celebrations, TM Celebrates!, TMJC Open House, SONRISA (the College Combined Performing Arts Concert), and community performances. These diverse platforms provide members with valuable opportunities to refine their musicianship, perform for different audiences, and proudly represent the College through music.
United by a shared passion for music and a commitment to excellence, the Symphonic Band continues to grow as a supportive and dedicated ensemble. With the encouragement of our instructors, teachers, alumni, parents, and friends, members challenge themselves to reach new heights while creating memorable musical experiences that enrich both the College and the wider community.
