Building upon H2 Mathematics, the curriculum provides opportunities to deepen conceptual understanding, extend mathematical reasoning and explore advanced mathematical ideas beyond the H2 Mathematics syllabus.

Further Mathematics challenges students to look beyond procedures and develop a deeper appreciation of Mathematics as an elegant and interconnected discipline. Through rigorous reasoning, mathematical proof and purposeful inquiry, students learn to analyse complex problems, justify their thinking with precision and approach unfamiliar situations with confidence.

Mathematics in Everyday Life - Students explore the concept of saddle points through everyday objects, making abstract mathematical ideas tangible, engaging and memorable.
Learning is enriched through meaningful discussions and collaborative exploration, where students are encouraged to question, investigate and discover multiple ways of thinking. These experiences challenge their intellectual curiosity, resilience and mathematical maturity. These are key in developing their 21st century competencies.

Exploring Mathematics Through Everyday Life - Students investigate the mathematics behind a doughnut using integration and the volume of revolution, discovering that advanced mathematical ideas can be both meaningful and enjoyable.

Students discover how advanced mathematical ideas underpin disciplines such as the sciences, engineering and computing through authentic applications, mathematical modelling and enrichment opportunities. Beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to pursue their interests through mathematical competitions, problem solving experiences and other opportunities that broaden their perspectives and deepen their appreciation of Mathematics.

Beyond the Classroom - Through STEM Fest, JC2 Further Mathematics students explore mathematics beyond the syllabus, communicate complex ideas with clarity and inspire curiosity among their juniors.
